Durjoy Datta

 Durjoy Datta was born on 7 February 1987 (age 29) in Gujarat and bought up at Delhi, India. He used to write with the Pen name of Deb and Sidharth Oberoi. His occupation is to be Novelist, Screenwriter. He has studied at Delhi College of Engineering, Management Development Institute. He writes about Young-adult fiction, Romance, Thriller.

         He served at NIIT Ltd. Siemens AG, and American Express until he co-founded the publishing house Grapevine India in June 2011. In 2009, he was recognized as the young achiever by The Times of India. He was also chosen as one of the two young achievers in the field of Media and Communications by Whistling Woods International in 2011. His debut show Sadda Haq - My Life, My Choice won the Youth Show - fiction category at Zee Gold Awards in 2014 and at Indian Telly Awards in 2014 and 2015.

Chetan Bhagat

 Chetan Bhagat was born on 22 April 1974 (age 41). He get education at Army Public School, Dhaula Kuan, Indian Institute of Technology Delhi(IIT Delhi) (B. Tech, Mechanical Engineering), Indian Institute of Management Ahmadabad(IIM A) (MBA). He used to write about Fiction, Romance, Realistic Fiction, Non-fiction  etc.

A noted public intellectual, Bhagat also writes for columns about the youth, career development and current affairs for The Times of India (in English) and Dainik Bhaskar (in Hindi).He worked in Goldman Sachs in Hong Kong as an Investment Banker for nearly a decade, and wrote Five Point Someone while still in Hong Kong, before moving to Mumbai to focus full-time on his writing career.

Career:

Bhagat has his columns in The Times of India and Hindustan Times.He was a judge on the Voice of India Star Anchor Hunt. Chetan Bhagat also hosts 7 RCR on ABP news, which began airing 11 January 2014. The show features a series of biographies of India's prime ministerial candidates.

He was also the judge of the dance reality show Nach Baliye.

       Among his other activities, Bhagat is known to deliver speeches at programs organized by corporate, educational institutes, newspapers and media houses like Dainik Bhaskar, The Times of India and at other conferences apart from writing columns for the same.

MARKET OF CHETAN BHAGAT AND DURJOY DATTA:

 Durjoy Datta and Chetan Bhagat both are young writers of Indian English literature. Even we find that both of them become very popular in this present time. Even we can say that both them have made india read the English novel. The common things between them use very simple English that become easy for everyone to understand. Both of them are not student of literature but they have studied in Engineering branch though they are writing novels and also have fame as a good writers.

Ø LOW PRICE:

 When we go to take any books of both of them we find that it is available in very low price because they know that most of people used to avoid read the books which are costly. Their every books are below 200/- so that a common people can also afford that.

Ø THEIR EDUCATION AND OCCUPATION:

When we look about their education we find that both of them are student of engineering in which they have to work with machines and Mathematics. To write a book is very difficult for them but here both of the writers have broken the image of that particular image of engineer and student of arts.

Ø VOICE OF YOUNG INDIA:

Chetan Bhagat and Durjoy Datta both of them are young writers and in their novels we find that both of them write about young India. The main characters of the novels are young and also the ongoing problems of youth. They describe the sugar solution of the problems. They describe various perspective of the human relationship.

Ø BASED ON VARIOUS THEMES:

Both of them are not only writing s simple love story that a boy meet a girl and then both of them fall in love than they have to face problems and finally some of them become successful while some of them fail. Chetan Bhagat writes on vision on 2020 and also the life of well framed IIT and IIM. Durjoy was a student of engineering but in his book “Till The Last Breath” we find his deep knowledge of medical and hospital as well as disease.

Ø MARKETING:

Both of the writers know that how to do marketing of their books. Sometimes we see that many of us have ordered the books which still not released. They used to share about their upcoming books. They use such a social media like Face book, Twitter, Bloggers etc.

Ø LENGTH OF NARRATIVE:

In this time people don’t have much time to read the longer narrative or even to ponder deeply on the single thought. Here we find that both of them write a story like a novella which we can read at one seat ad also very easy to remember. Sometimes it may happen that the long narrative become a kind of boring to read and read can’t complete it.

Ø LANGUAGE:

While we read novels of both of them we find that it is very easy for us to understand. We don’t require dictionary at every page but we can understand it most of the time. Even we find that it is written in youth friendly style and also I conversational.

Ø THEIR TARGET AUDIENCE:

To be a great or a successful writer one is always careful about the target audience and their zeitgeist. Their target audience are getting admission in to IIT/IIMs, Call center, Job, Entrepreneurship, Marriage, education system as enterprise, Air hostess, singer, Medical, Hostel life, friendship etc.

        Thus here we find that both of them are very famous writers of the modern time I India. Even most of us have read both of them because now days they become writer of the bestselling books. Not only one but both of them have written many books and all of them become very popular. Chetan Bhagat and Durjoy Datta both are not only writers of the bestselling books but they are also connected with many other activities which shows that to be writer of bestselling book is not enough but one also have to be very enthusiastic to show the talent at any platform.
